Author of: The Destruction of Black Civilization; referred to in some circles as the black man’s bible, Dr. Chancellor Williams is one of the unsung heroes of the early Afrocentric movement in the diaspora. Born in the South, known for its glaring portrayal of racism and support of segregation, Chancellor’s curiosity into the difference between the races piqued from an early age. He wanted to know why persons with white skin lived in better houses, in cleaner neighborhoods and attended the best schools.

Debatable, the most qualified historian of the early twentieth century, having earned degrees from Howard University and the most prestigious Oxford University in England, to name two of of the many he continued to accumulate many more. His quest for knowledge of his ancestors gave him the impetus to travel to various countries and to learn over 100 languages (to include native dialects).

Such a prestigious historian and scholar needs to be lauded and given a place of pride in history and our homes. Purchase a customized sketch of this brilliant African-American as a keepsake and or gift to a friend or family member. Born in South Carolina on December 22, 1893, Dr. Chancellor Williams, author of: The Destruction of Black Civilization (more popularly known as “the Blackman’s Bible”, could be said to be one of (if not) the most educated African-American men of the 19th century. He travelled to 26 countries, learned over 100 languages (to include native dialects) in his search for the truth about the origin and disenfranchisement of the African people.

Dr Williams proved that to be visually impaired does not affect one’s mental capacity as, although blind in his latter years, Chancellor continued travelling and writing with the help of his trusted companion, Ozzi .

This excerpt from one of his speeches states: there can be no real identity with our heritage until we know what our heritage really is. People need to know their origin in order to know their true heritage. Do you know your roots? Your origin?
If you agree with this concept purchase a Chancellor Williams t-shirt to show that you know your true heritage.
